Smoke, Lilies, and Jade

Smoke Lillies and Jade is an intimate portrayal and a public exploration of Blackness and queerness. Featuring song, dance, instrumentalists, and animation in this multidisciplinary performance inspired by the work of Harlem Renaissance icon Richard Bruce Nugent. An enchanting one hour performance will showcase on The Underline’s Sound Stage Plaza free and open to the public alongside Bookleggers Library’s delightful bookbike with free poetry books for everyone.
