Where can I drop off books? We are currently accepting donations on Tuesdays-Fridays 12-5pm at our headquarters at the Bakehouse Art Complex 561 NW 32nd Street. Bringing them to our offsite events is not helpful and highly discouraged.
-
What kind of books do you take?We take almost anything! Truly, we do not discriminate on subject matter. All books are good books to someone. We do have some ground rules that we ask you follow to be respectful. We do not take: Old instructional manuals or law books Moldy, or wet or have bugs in them. Please note: Books must be in a bag or a box and we are not able to give you your bag or box back. If a box is too big for an able bodied person to carry we will not move it and it shouldn't be delivered here. If you can't lift it we can't lift it. If you are making a large donation (more than 5 boxes/bags) please get in touch first.
-
Do you do pickups? We are currently only doing pickups that come with a meaningful cash donation. Please get in touch below. We will require a picture of the donation, and address. We quote out the pick up service based a case by case basis.
-
Do you provide a donation receipt?Yes we can! We are a 501c3 and your donation is tax deductible. Please note we do not provide a valuation for your collection. Contact us for more information.
-
Do you take cash donations?Yes! Actually cash is the most helpful thing you can donate. Bookleggers only functions because we pay people to take in, sort, and redistribute the books. Click here to help.
